Harz region historical train excursion scheduled for October 2026

A special historical train excursion is scheduled for October 31, 2026, traveling through the Harz region. Organized in cooperation with the Förderverein Berlin-Anhaltische Eisenbahn e. V., the journey will depart from Lutherstadt Wittenberg and pass through Dessau, Köthen, Bernburg, Güsten, and Halberstadt, eventually reaching Wernigerode and Thale.

The trip features the historical museum locomotive V100 003 and vintage passenger carriages. Passengers can choose between two themed destinations: Wernigerode, which hosts the chocolART event featuring international chocolatiers, or Thale, which hosts the Hexoween festival in the Kurpark, featuring live music and a parade.
