Harz region offers expanded transit and travel deals
Travelers visiting the Harz region in Germany can benefit from new transportation options and significant hotel discounts. The HATIX (Harzer Urlaubs-Ticket) allows overnight guests who pay the local guest levy to use regional buses and trams at no extra cost. As of January 1, 2026, the service has expanded to include selected regional trains in the Goslar and Göttingen districts, covering routes such as the RB 80/81, RB 46, and RB 82.
Additionally, accommodation deals are available in the Harz foreland. The Victor's Residenz-Hotel Teistungenburg, located on the site of a former Cistercian convent, is offering half-board stays at discounted rates through Travelcircus. These packages include access to wellness facilities and entry to the Grenzlandmuseum, which details the history of the German and European division.
