Harzer Falken prepare for Regionalliga Nordost season opener
The Harzer Falken are preparing to begin their ice hockey season in the Regionalliga Nordost. Following a test match in Adendorf on Friday, the team will host the Weserstars Bremen at the Wurmberg on Sunday at 17:30.
Coach Jan Bönning noted that the tight schedule between the test game and the season opener allows the team to maintain rhythm and refine details against strong competition. The matchup against Bremen is significant as it is the only scheduled seasonal duel between the two following the merger of the North and East divisions.
The Weserstars Bremen enter the season with a largely stable roster, bolstered by the addition of Canadian import striker Brandon Kakei. However, the team faces the loss of defender Owen Miley.
