Harzer Falken sign Swedish defenseman Markus Magnusson

The Harzer Falken ice hockey team has signed Swedish defenseman Markus Magnusson to strengthen their defense for the upcoming Regionalliga Nordost season. The 30-year-old Magnusson was trained by Luleå HF and has extensive experience playing in Sweden’s HockeyEttan league.

Magnusson joins the team following a successful season in Romania with Háromszéki Ágyúsok, where he was the team’s top-scoring defenseman, recording 2 goals and 23 assists in 32 games. Club officials and coach Jan Bönning highlighted his skating ability, playmaking skills, and high game intelligence as key assets for the Braunlage-based squad.

Magnusson expressed enthusiasm for the move, stating he feels positive about joining the team and aims to support the club on its path toward a championship.
