Hasan Alp calls for scientific study of traditional asthma formula

Hasan Alp, the son of the late herbalist Derman Ali Baba, is calling for scientific research into a traditional formula developed by his father for the treatment of asthma and allergic asthma.

Based in the Safranbolu district of Karabük, the formula was reportedly developed over 40 years of research using traditional methods. The preparation process takes approximately 1.5 years and utilizes specific regional ingredients, including geographically indicated vinegar from Yazıköy village, Safranbolu saffron, Taşköprü garlic, and lemon.

Alp noted that many individuals reported positive results from the formula during his father's lifetime. He has issued a formal appeal to universities, scientists, and rectors to conduct licensed studies and ethical committee reviews to bridge the gap between centuries-old traditional knowledge and modern scientific validation.
