Hasan Kalyoncu University expands training partnership and launches Turkey's first industrial design department
Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ) signed a three‑year Education Cooperation Protocol with Anıl Havacılık Flight School. The agreement, signed by HKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan, Anıl Havacılık Director Ahmet Anılar and other university officials, will allow aviation students to undertake internships, practical training, seminars, orientation sessions, career events and joint employment initiatives.
In the same period, HKÜ opened the region’s first and only Industrial Design Department within its Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture. The rector announced that the program will train designers for product, furniture, packaging, user‑experience and other sectors, supporting Gaziantep’s strong industrial and entrepreneurial base. The department aims to equip students with skills in design thinking, material knowledge, sustainable design and production technologies, addressing the regional demand for qualified designers.
