Hasan Kurt calls for modern agricultural support in Birecik

Hasan Kurt has called for increased technological investment and modern equipment support for farmers in Birecik, Şanlıurfa. Highlighting the importance of Şanlıurfa as a major agricultural hub, Kurt emphasized that technological advancements are essential to reducing production costs.

Kurt noted that while tractor acquisitions are planned for the Ceylanpınar Agricultural Enterprise, such investments must extend beyond large-scale operations to include small and medium-sized farmers. He proposed the development of support models, such as cooperatives and producer unions, to facilitate the shared use of expensive machinery and lower costs for individual producers.

Addressing the economic burdens faced by farmers—including costs for tractors, tools, fuel, and maintenance—Kurt urged for more balanced agricultural investment planning across the Şanlıurfa region to promote rural development and efficiency.
