Hasan Mahmud takes four wickets in Kent return
Bangladeshi pacer Hasan Mahmud has made a strong impact upon his return to the County Championship, playing a pivotal role for Kent against Worcestershire. During the match at Canterbury, Mahmud claimed four wickets for 68 runs, helping to restrict Worcestershire to 217 runs in their first innings.
Mahmud’s performance included taking the early wickets of Jake Libbey and Rehan Ethavala, as well as dismissing Matthew Wait and Adam Finch to wrap up the innings. His contribution helped Kent secure a 21-run lead after their first innings total of 238.
Kent teammate Matt Milnes praised the bowler, describing him as an ‘x-factor’ for the attack. Milnes noted that Mahmud’s unique bowling action and pace make him difficult for batters to read. This performance follows a successful stint for Mahmud with Kent last June, where he took 12 wickets in his first two matches.
