Twitch streamer Hasan Piker is facing intense backlash following a performance at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco during his ‘Fear& LIVE’ tour. During the event, Piker sang an AI-generated song titled ‘We Are Charlie Kirk,’ which critics have characterized as mocking the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Piker, who appeared in a Mao-style jacket during the segment, defended his actions by stating he was not mocking the assassination itself but was instead criticizing the ‘reverence’ demanded by conservatives following the event. He further claimed he showed more respect for Kirk than Kirk’s widow, Erika, by opposing what he termed ‘profiteering’ around the death.

The incident has sparked significant conflict within the streaming community. Fellow personalities such as xQc and Asmongold criticized Piker, with xQc questioning the morality of making fun of a deceased individual. In response, Piker labeled his critics ‘worm-like individuals’ and ‘opportunists,’ accusing them of manufacturing outrage to feed the algorithm.
