Hasan Raheem submits ‘Bewajah’ for Grammy consideration

Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem has submitted his single ‘Bewajah’ for consideration for the 2027 Grammy Awards. The submission targets two categories: Best Music Video and Best Global Music Performance.

Released in March 2026, the track was produced by Umair and features lyrics in Urdu along with a bridge sung in Shina, a language from Raheem’s home region of Gilgit-Baltistan. The accompanying music video, directed by Arham Ikram, was filmed in Gilgit and incorporates elements of local culture, including traditional clothing, Gilgiti dance, and a freestyle polo match set against a mountainous landscape.

Raheem, who gained prominence with the single ‘Aisay Kaisay’ in 2020, has previously appeared on Coke Studio Pakistan and released the debut album Nautanki in 2022.
