Hasan Sarpten warns of new weather norms in Iskele
Hasan Sarpten, former president of the Association of Biologists, has issued a warning regarding recent extreme weather in Iskele. Following heavy rainfall of approximately 40 kilograms and wind speeds reaching 88 kilometers per hour, Sarpten criticized government officials for labeling the events as isolated disasters.
Sarpten argued that such weather patterns are becoming the “new normals” for the region. He emphasized that instead of conducting crisis assessments after the fact, authorities must prioritize proactive risk analysis. He warned that the region should prepare for more frequent and intense occurrences, including storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.
