Hasan Sidal turns to fruit farming in Yozgat after medical advice
Hasan Sidal, a 71-year-old resident of Günyayla village in the Çayıralan district of Yozgat, has transitioned to fruit production following medical advice. After working in Germany for 35 years, Sidal underwent surgery for an aortic aneurysm in 2008. Following his doctor's recommendation to engage in gardening for his health, he returned to his homeland to pursue agriculture.
Initially, Sidal attempted walnut cultivation, but encountered difficulties with sapling quality and high water requirements. He subsequently shifted his focus to almond and jujube production. Currently, Sidal manages approximately 1,200 trees across two parcels of land totaling 20 decares.
