Hasan Taçoy campaigns for Nicosia municipal elections

Hasan Taçoy, the Minister of Economy and Energy and a National Unity Party (UBP) Member of Parliament, visited the Walled City Bazaar in Nicosia ahead of the local elections scheduled for December 6. Accompanied by Mehmet Aktunç, the UBP candidate for Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB), and other municipal council candidates, Taçoy engaged with local tradespeople and citizens.

Taçoy criticized the current municipal administration, claiming it lacks a modern approach to municipal services and is failing to address the city's needs effectively. He emphasized that Nicosia requires active service rather than excuses and stated that Aktunç has prepared projects intended to resolve existing issues and advance the capital. Taçoy expressed confidence that the upcoming election would signal a new era for the city.
