Hasbro and Working Title launch Action Man movie project

Hasbro and UK‑based Working Title are developing a feature film based on the iconic British Action Man toy line. The project is being driven by a team with strong franchise experience: Simon Hatt, who spent a decade at Marvel and was executive producer on *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*; writer Anthony Sellitti, known for the Emmy‑nominated *X‑Men ’97* animated series; and producer Jeremy Latcham, who worked on *Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves*.

Action Man was introduced by Palitoy in 1966 as a licensed counterpart to G.I. Joe, later re‑imagined in the 1990s as a James Bond‑style hero and revived again in the 2010s. The film is intended as a British‑flavoured action‑comedy, with a pre‑visualised fight scene used to convince Hasbro and Working Title of its potential. Hasbro declined comment and Working Title did not respond to requests for comment.
