Hashimoto Masaki's debut film Onee-chan no Midori-kun set for Dec 4 release

Japanese publisher Shueisha’s popular manga Onee-chan no Midori‑kun, written by Meguro Ami, is being adapted into a live‑action film. The movie marks actor Hashimoto Masaki’s first leading role; he plays the older brother’s boyfriend, Midori‑kun. Co‑stars include Rinka Kumada as the sister Saku‑nae and Reo Matsumoto as the childhood friend Shō. A teaser trailer and poster have been released, highlighting the bittersweet romance between a high‑school girl and her sister’s boyfriend. The film is scheduled to open nationwide on 4 December 2026 and will be distributed by Shochiku Co. Ltd.
