HashKey Exchange Secures JPMorgan Approval for Client Money Account
Hong Kong‑licensed digital‑asset platform HashKey Exchange announced that JPMorgan Chase has approved its application to open a segregated client‑money account for U.S. dollar settlement. The account will keep customer funds separate from the exchange’s operating capital, meeting the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission’s requirement for foreign‑currency client money segregation.
The approval adds JPMorgan to HashKey’s growing roster of tier‑one banking partners, which already includes DBS Bank and Deutsche Bank, and is expected to enhance the stability and transparency of the exchange’s dollar‑funding channels for institutional investors. No launch date or commercial terms were disclosed. JPMorgan also recently upgraded its rating on HashKey’s listed stock and is a joint sponsor of the company’s upcoming Hong Kong IPO.
