Haslach police conduct commercial traffic inspections on B 33

Police in Haslach im Kinzigtal conducted a commercial goods traffic inspection on the B 33 between Haslach and Hausach. The operation, supported by the Offenburg Traffic Service, focused on small vans, motorhomes, and vehicle combinations to ensure road safety and compliance with driving and rest time regulations.

During the four-hour operation, authorities identified 20 violations that required more than just verbal warnings. These included four instances of improper cargo securing, three of which involved insufficiently secured dangerous goods. Additionally, two drivers were fined for using warning devices to evade speed controls.

A significant number of violations concerned driving and rest time records. Notably, no drivers of vehicles delivering goods for a major shipping company were able to provide the required documentation. As a result, authorities have proposed occupational safety audits for the affected subcontractors.
