Hasnat Abdullah urges students to prioritize character and avoid drugs

Hasnat Abdullah, Member of Parliament for Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) and chief organizer of the National Citizen Party (NCP) for the southern region, addressed a felicitation ceremony for meritorious students at Debidwar Government Reaz Uddin Pilot Model High School.

During his speech, Abdullah emphasized that while pursuing professional careers like medicine or engineering is common, the primary goal for all individuals should be to become good human beings and to stay away from drugs. He advised students that college life is a critical period of transition where they must learn to take personal responsibility for their studies and actions without the constant supervision of teachers and parents.

He also expressed gratitude toward his former teachers, noting their lifelong dedication to their students. In response to his call to avoid narcotics, the attending students expressed their solidarity by raising their hands.
