Hassa Organized Industrial Zone infrastructure works begin in Hatay

Infrastructure works have officially commenced for the Hassa Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in Hatay, Turkey, located at the border with Syria. The project, a collaboration between the Hatay Governor's Office and the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, aims to become one of Turkey’s largest industrial zones.

Governor Mustafa Masatlı announced that land has already been allocated to 41 investors. Once completed, the zone is planned to feature 110 parcels, with individual plot sizes ranging from 10,000 to 140,000 square meters. The facility is strategically positioned to serve the region and the Middle East, benefiting from proximity to the Cilvegözü and Yayladağı border gates.

The development is expected to boost regional employment and economic activity, particularly as commercial transit through Syria toward the Arabian Peninsula increases following the end of the Syrian civil war in late 2024. The zone's connectivity will be enhanced by three planned tunnels—one railway and two roadways—linking it to the Gulf of İskenderun.
