Airborne Petawawa part of new world skydiving record

A global skydiving effort has established a new record for World Skydiving Day. On Saturday, July 11, skydivers worldwide completed a total of 31,075 jumps in a single day.

The United States led the event with more than 14,000 jumps, followed by Canada in second place and Australia in third. Canada contributed 2,775 jumps to the total, including 27 jumps completed at Airborne Petawawa in Ontario. The event included a diverse range of participants, from students and first-time tandem skydivers to experienced licensed jumpers.
