Hatay Akademi Senfoni Orkestrası performs Fairuz tribute in Ankara

The Hatay Akademi Senfoni Orkestrası performed a special concert titled ‘Echoes of Beirut: A Fairuz Symphony’ at the Oran Open Air Stage in Ankara. Led by conductor Ali Uğur, the orchestra provided symphonic interpretations of works by Lebanese artist Fairuz.

The repertoire included pieces such as ‘Habbaitak Be El Saif’, ‘Le Beirut’, and ‘Bent El Shalabeya’, blending classical instruments with traditional sounds. During the event, Ali Uğur noted that the orchestra performs certain songs specifically to honor Hatay, reflecting on the city’s resilience and recovery following the devastating earthquakes on February 6.
