Hatay launches Flying Racquets table tennis project

The Flying Racquets project has been launched in Hatay, Turkey, to introduce children to table tennis and promote healthy lifestyle habits. A collaboration between the Turkish Table Tennis Federation and Hitit Computer Services, the initiative aims to make the sport sustainable in schools by providing both equipment and professional training.

Under this phase of the project, table tennis equipment will be distributed to 63 state schools across Hatay, with a target of reaching approximately 20,000 students. To ensure long-term continuity, 65 volunteer teachers will receive Level 1 Table Tennis Coach certificates through courses organized by the Turkish Table Tennis Federation. These teachers will then lead regular training sessions and form school teams.

The project also extends its social impact by providing equipment to various local institutions, including child coordination centers and elderly care and rehabilitation facilities.
