Hatay Municipality Distributes 100 Tons of Melon to Earthquake Victims

The Hatay Metropolitan Municipality organized a free distribution of 100 tons of melon to residents affected by the recent earthquake. The melons were purchased from local farmers, supporting agricultural producers while providing food aid. Distribution points included container cities, nursing homes, care facilities, Quran courses and the Habibi Neccar Mosque. Municipal officials said the project aims to strengthen social solidarity and assist both producers and those in need.

The initiative reflects the municipality’s social‑service approach, combining rural development with humanitarian assistance for disaster‑affected communities in the province.
