Hateco Apollo residents protest over delayed maintenance fund

Residents of the Hateco Apollo apartment complex in Xuan Phuong, Hanoi, have staged protests by hanging red banners from their balconies to demand the handover of the building's maintenance fund. The dispute involves the developer, Hateco Group, which has reportedly held the funds since the project was handed over in 2019.

Residents report significant deterioration of the building, including peeling exterior walls, poorly maintained technical systems, and inadequate cleaning services. The lack of access to the maintenance fund has directly hindered necessary repairs and upkeep.

The building's Management Board stated they are working with the developer to review and supplement missing documentation required for the final settlement. Hateco Group has provided a written commitment to return the maintenance funds to residents within 5 to 10 days once all legal procedures are completed.
