Hatice Öz proposes data and AI-driven vision for ATSO
Hatice Öz, a candidate for the presidency of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO), has outlined a vision for a ‘next-generation’ chamber focused on science, data, and artificial intelligence. During a meeting with Antalya Forum X members, Öz emphasized that the future of Antalya should be shaped by scientific data and collective intelligence rather than mere predictions.
Öz proposed transforming ATSO into a data-producing center that monitors the Antalya economy in real-time. This approach aims to move the institution beyond a passive role of listening to member complaints toward a proactive model that uses sectoral analysis and digital technologies to anticipate risks. Key areas of focus include managing population growth, urbanization, climate change, and the economic impacts of digitalization.
Critiquing the current administration for its inability to accurately measure member needs, Öz stated that her goal is to use data not just for reporting, but for active decision-making and crisis management. The vision includes utilizing AI and robotic technologies to support members' business processes and address challenges in financing, qualified labor, and exports.
