Hattstatt walking trail showcases Alsatian heritage on the Wine Route

The short, easy walking circuit in the Alsatian village of Hattstatt runs along the regional Wine Route. Covering about 3.2 km (1.9 miles) with a modest 17‑meter elevation gain, the trail passes several historic crosses, wayside shrines and a 16th‑century well. Highlights include the Romanesque‑style Church of Sainte‑Colombe and panoramic views of Notre‑Dame du Schauenberg, Gueberschwihr, Voegtlinshoffen and the Three Castles of Eguisheim. The route can be combined with a visit to the neighbouring village of Obermorschwihr, offering a compact glimpse of local architecture and cultural landmarks.

The walk is suitable for most visitors, taking roughly 55 minutes to complete and returning to the starting point at the Fontaine de Bale car park. Signage and cultural information boards along the way provide context for the Grand Cru Hatschbourg and other regional wine heritage.
