Haugesund police investigate gas canister explosions at school

Police responded to Brakahaug school in Haugesund on Wednesday evening following reports of a large group of youths exploding gas canisters. The explosions caused concern among local residents.

Upon the arrival of police patrols, most of the youths fled the scene on foot or using electric scooters. Officers managed to make contact with a few individuals remaining at the school and have identified several names of those potentially involved.

Authorities stated that these explosions have been a recurring problem in the area. The case has been referred to the police prevention unit, which focuses on monitoring youth environments to prevent further criminal activity.
