Haune‑Rock festival energises Odensachsen with politicians and packed crowds
Hesse’s minister for science, research, art and culture, Timon Gremmels, joined local officials and Bundestag member Awet Tesfaiesus at the ninth edition of the Haune‑Rock festival in Odensachsen. Gremmels praised the event as a "great, unique place" that keeps community spirit alive amid broader societal uncertainties.
The three‑day festival attracted about 2,500 visitors, around 300 volunteers and a full complement of camping sites. Eight bands opened the celebration, with highlights including the comedy‑music duo Reis Against the Spülmachine, punk band Rogers from Düsseldorf, folk group Katerfahrt and several other acts. Media outlets such as Hessen‑Schaue and RTL Hessen reported live from the venue.
Local leaders described the weekend as a “record festival” that brings together villagers, clubs and visitors from across Germany for affordable, lively entertainment.
