Haunted attractions and ghost tours drive seasonal fall travel

Seasonal Halloween attractions are increasingly serving as travel destinations, a trend referred to as “scarecations,” where enthusiasts travel specifically for immersive, large-scale frightening experiences.

In the United States, America Haunts has identified Talon Falls Screampark in the Paducah metro area of Kentucky as a premier destination. For the 2026 season, the park is introducing the Blood Creek Haunted Hayride: Mutant’s Revenge to its lineup of attractions.

In Calgary, Canada, Heritage Park is hosting its annual Fall Ghost Tours. These 90-minute guided nighttime walking tours explore the historic site, including the Sam Livingston House and the Fort, focusing on paranormal stories and the darker aspects of the park’s history. The tours are designed for guests aged 16 and older.
