Haunted Mansion attraction offers rare backstage glimpse

A rare glimpse behind the scenes at the Haunted Mansion attraction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has surfaced after a workroom door was accidentally left open. The footage provides a look at the maintenance area near the attic scene, exposing the technical operations that support the attraction.

The Haunted Mansion is one of the few Disney attractions originally envisioned by Walt Disney. While it was initially conceived as a walk-through experience, Imagineers eventually developed the Omnimover technology to facilitate the continuous movement of Doom Buggies. The attraction features various themed elements and hidden details, such as chess pieces on the roof as a tribute to designer Marc Davis.
