Haute-Bigorre volunteers collect 190 kg of waste
On September 18, more than 400 volunteers participated in World Clean Up Day in the Haute-Bigorre region of France. Led by local ambassador Guylaine Henry Lamy and supported by the Pouzac town hall and various partners, the initiative successfully collected over 190 kg of waste.
In Pouzac, volunteers gathered 72.66 kg of waste in one hour, including glass, packaging, and metal. Along the Adour river in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, teams collected 90 kg of waste in two hours, consisting largely of 66 kg of metal pieces. The cleanup revealed various discarded items, ranging from everyday objects like buckets and clothing to more unusual finds such as a cash drawer.
