Haute-Savoie tourism and cultural events guide

Haute-Savoie offers a variety of seasonal activities and cultural events, ranging from summer festivals to autumn traditions. Major summer highlights include the Fête du Lac d’Annecy, known for its pyrotechnic and light shows, and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

In October 2026, Annecy-le-Vieux will host the 45th edition of L’Ancileviennerie, an autumn festival celebrating Savoyard traditions, local artisans, and producers. The event features demonstrations, music, and performances by the Aigles du Léman.

Other cultural offerings in the region include Orinasu, an event dedicated to Japanese craftsmanship and art, and the Momiji Festival in Seynod, which focuses on Japanese culture through animation films and workshops such as origami and zen gardening.
