Hautes-Pyrénées launches major road recycling project on RD632

In the Hautes-Pyrénées department of France, a major road recycling project is underway on the RD632 between Trie-sur-Baïse and Puntous. Covering approximately 80,600 square meters, the project is noted as the largest road recycling operation of its kind in western France in over 30 years.

The construction, managed by Colas France, utilizes the RECYCOL technique. This method involves planing the existing pavement to a depth of 10 cm and mixing the resulting aggregates with bitumen emulsion to create a new, homogeneous structure. This approach aims to repurpose existing materials and reduce the need for new resources. The renovation spans 16 km of the departmental road network.
