Haute‑Savoie council allocates €3.1 million to secure roads RD 909 A and RD 16

On 27 July the Departmental Council of Haute‑Savoie met in its permanent commission and approved a series of budget allocations. Among the measures were €4.1 million for social housing, more than €1 million for insertion workshops, €80 255 for child‑family associations, €3.3 million for the second phase of the ESAAA campus expansion, and €1.25 million for agricultural projects under the EU’s Rural Development Fund.

A separate announcement detailed a €3.1 million road‑safety programme. Vice‑president Lionel Tardy presented the plan to install rock‑fall protection screens on RD 909 A in Talloires‑Montmin and to treat hazardous blocks on RD 16. The second phase on RD 909 A will involve 1 100 m of screens and related works from 14 September to 18 December 2026, with traffic diversions. The council will fully fund the €1.9 million second phase, while the RD 16 works will last twelve weeks.
