HAVAİST airport shuttle faces criticism over high fares and surcharges

Passengers using the HAVAİST airport shuttle service in Istanbul have raised concerns regarding high fares and unexpected additional costs. Reports indicate that travelers are facing significant price discrepancies when paying by credit card; for instance, a journey with a standard fare of 420 TL reportedly increased to 520 TL upon card payment. Some passengers have requested transparency regarding these extra charges, noting that staff attributed the difference to municipal deductions without further explanation.

Additionally, the pricing policy for children has drawn criticism. While children aged 0–5 may travel for free under certain conditions, those aged 5 and older are required to have a seat and must pay full fare, meaning a 7-year-old child incurs the same cost as an adult.
