Havenex nears Series A close while seeking Austrian regulatory approval

Havenex, an Austrian-based financial infrastructure company, has announced that its Series A financing round is nearing completion. While the company has not disclosed the specific funding amount, valuation, or participating investors, the round is progressing alongside efforts to secure regulatory authorization.

The company is currently seeking approval from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA). Havenex has stated that it cannot provide regulated services until this formal authorization is received. The platform is designed as a white-label infrastructure service for professional and institutional clients, aiming to provide access to both digital and traditional financial assets.

Advised by Sui co-founder Kostas “Kryptos” Chalkias, who also sits on the supervisory board, Havenex intends to implement advanced security features. These include continuous solvency proofs, multisignature custody, and quantum-resistant keys. The company plans to utilize Sui technology where appropriate while integrating assets and bridges from other blockchain ecosystems.
