Havering Council to host free outdoor cinema at Upminster Windmill

Havering Council has announced its first outdoor cinema event, scheduled for Saturday, 29 August, at the historic Grade II listed Upminster Windmill. The free event will feature three film screenings on a large LED screen, accompanied by live entertainment.

The day's program includes the film ‘GOAT’ (PG) at 1:00 pm, followed by an interactive music quiz and karaoke session. Later screenings include ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ (12A) at 4:45 pm and ‘Michael’ (12A) at 8:45 pm. A live music performance is also scheduled for the evening.

The initiative is supported by main sponsor Elm Site Services and co-sponsor Aesthetics of Essex. Councillor Keith Prince AM, Leader of Havering Council, noted that the event is part of a broader series of cultural activities intended to bring local communities together during the summer.
