Havlíčkův Brod school to build modern nursing simulation center

A new simulation center is being developed at the Secondary Medical School and Higher Professional School of Nursing in Havlíčkův Brod, Czech Republic. The project, funded by the Vysočina Region with an investment exceeding 19 million CZK (excluding VAT), aims to provide nursing students with realistic training environments before they enter clinical practice.

The facility will feature specialized simulators, adjustable beds, shower beds, and medical equipment to mimic a real hospital room. These tools will allow students to practice managing medical complications, crisis situations, and patient communication without risk to actual patients. A camera system will enable educators to monitor and review student procedures. The classroom is designed to accommodate up to 18 students.

In addition to the simulation center, the school will create a new outdoor space with a green roof and sheltered seating, capable of hosting up to 32 students for outdoor learning or breaks. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2027, with the new facilities becoming operational between late 2027 and early 2028.
