Hawa Abdoul Ba criticizes AARTU/C2D communiqué signatories

Hawa Abdoul Ba, a member of the Senegalese PDS party, has criticized a recent communiqué issued by the diaspora platform AARTU/C2D. She questioned the political consistency of the document's signatories, specifically highlighting the unexpected alignment of Karim Wade and Macky Sall.

Ba noted that while the communiqué calls for transparency and ethics, Wade and Sall were historically bitter political rivals. She pointed out that Macky Sall assumed power in 2012, leading to the arrest and subsequent conviction of Karim Wade for illicit enrichment, before Sall eventually granted him a pardon in 2016.
