Hurricane Nolo threatens Hawaii with flooding and high winds
Hurricane Nolo, a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph, is approaching the Hawaiian Islands, posing significant threats of life-threatening flash flooding, mudslides, and extreme surf. The storm was recently located approximately 145 miles south of the Big Island and is forecast to potentially strengthen into a major hurricane (Category 3 or higher) over the weekend.
