Hawai‘i hosts Kona Coffee and Aloha cultural festivals
Hawai‘i is hosting two major cultural celebrations: the 55th Annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival on Hawai‘i Island and the 80th anniversary of the Aloha Festivals.
The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival is a 10-day event featuring coffee farm tours, tastings, and artisan markets. Highlights include a lantern parade on November 6, a coffee and art stroll in Holualoa Village, a recipe contest, and a Ho‘olaule‘a gathering on November 14 to celebrate ethnic traditions through music and food.
The Aloha Festivals, themed ‘80 Years of Aloha: Our Culture, Our Stories, Celebrating Our Island Home,’ begins with a royal court investiture and opening ceremony in Waikīkī. This monthlong statewide celebration honors Hawai‘i’s history and heritage through hula, mele, and traditional arts.
