Hawkeye Invitational volleyball tournament begins at Xtream Arena

The Hawkeye Invitational volleyball tournament is being held at Xtream Arena, marking the start of a 10-match homestand for the University of Iowa. The tournament features competition between Iowa, the University of the Incarnate Word, Southern Illinois, and Missouri State.

Iowa enters the event following a victory over Iowa State and a win in the Black Knight Invitational. The Hawkeyes are currently led in the Big Ten by setter Jenna Meitzler in assists and middle hitter Liv Mogridge in kills.

The University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals travel to Iowa following a season-opening win against Tarleton St. Their scheduled matches include facing Southern Illinois and Missouri State. Southern Illinois enters the tournament with a 5-1 record, while Missouri State holds a 4-2 record.
