Hayat Al-Fahad family denies rumors of charitable will

The family of the late Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al-Fahad has issued a formal statement denying rumors that she left a will to establish a charitable fund or endowment in her name. The denial follows widespread reports across Kuwaiti, Gulf, and Arab media claiming that a portion of her estate would be used for charity, with calls for the public to donate via digital links, associations, or cryptocurrencies.

Legal representative Khaled Abdullah Al-Rashed stated that the deceased left no such will and that her estate has been distributed in accordance with Islamic Sharia and Kuwaiti law through the Ministry of Justice. The statement noted that clips from previous interviews regarding values of mercy and kindness were being taken out of context to support these false claims.

The family expressed significant distress and embarrassment due to the influx of inquiries regarding the alleged fund. They warned against the unauthorized use of her name, image, or likeness—including the potential use of artificial intelligence—for fundraising or any artistic and cultural events without prior written permission from her daughter Susan’s legal representative.
