Hayato Isomura and Seiya Suezawa star in new film ‘mentor’

New promotional images have been released for the upcoming film ‘mentor’, starring Hayato Isomura and Seiya Suezawa of Aぇ! group. The film, directed by Keisuke Yoshida, is scheduled for release on October 16.

The story follows two young men whose lives were altered by an apartment fire caused by playing with fireworks, and their distorted reunion with a man who lost everything in that blaze. Isomura portrays Ryunosuke, an archer aiming for the Olympics, while Suezawa plays Takumi. The released photos highlight the intense emotional range of the characters, depicting expressions of emptiness, joy, and vulnerability.

Go Ayano plays the pivotal role of the ‘mentor’, Himoto, a character requiring three hours of special effects makeup to depict burn scars. Despite being first-time co-stars, Isomura and Suezawa noted a strong professional chemistry during filming.
