Hayato Sano of M!LK shares nighttime beetle hunting video

Hayato Sano, a member of the dance and vocal group M!LK, recently shared a video on his YouTube channel, ‘Sano Hayato dazo’, documenting a nighttime excursion to hunt for beetles.

Despite working from 6:00 AM that day, Sano prepared homemade bait using ingredients such as watermelon, bananas, honey, and sugar. Accompanied by a friend, he traveled to a mountainous area at 9:00 PM to search for rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles. During the outing, Sano reminisced about his childhood, noting that he frequently caught beetles in his family’s chestnut fields and recalling how his grandfather often wore a straw hat.

Although he initially struggled to find any insects, Sano later discovered multiple beetles and stag beetles on a single tree. The video has drawn significant attention from fans, who praised his enthusiastic reaction to the find and his ability to enjoy summer activities despite a busy professional schedule.
