The presence of Narcan at the scene has led to speculation regarding a potential accidental overdose.

Panettiere’s relationship with her partner, Brian Hickerson, has come under intense scrutiny. Hickerson was present when her body was discovered and has a documented history of domestic violence against the actress. In 2021, he was convicted of two counts of domestic violence involving Panettiere, resulting in a prison sentence and probation.
