Hayden Panettiere death investigation involves DEA

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, who was found unresponsive at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16. Panettiere, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene following a 911 call regarding an unresponsive female.

Brian Hickerson, Panettiere’s boyfriend, has reportedly met with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as part of the ongoing inquiry. Sources indicate that officials have also interviewed other individuals. While toxicology results have not yet been released, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office stated that an autopsy was completed and found no signs of trauma contributing to her death. Panettiere was found in cardiac arrest.

Investigators are reportedly looking into a potential drug dealer who may have sold substances to the actress prior to her death. Hickerson has not been named a suspect at this time.
