Hayley Matthews scores record 182 to lead West Indies over Zimbabwe

Hayley Matthews set a new record for the highest individual One Day International (ODI) score by a West Indies woman, scoring 182 runs off 156 balls against Zimbabwe in Harare. Her performance, which included 26 fours and two sixes, propelled the West Indies to a 99-run victory.

Matthews's innings is the sixth-highest in the history of Women's ODIs. With this performance, she has achieved 13 ODI centuries, tying her with Laura Wolvaardt and Suzie Bates for the joint third-most hundreds in the format. She now trails only Meg Lanning and Smriti Mandhana.

The victory follows a series opener where the West Indies sought to secure critical ICC championship points to aid in future World Cup qualification. The West Indies team, currently ranked fifth in the ICC table, secured the win after posting 299/6 and bowling Zimbabwe out for 200.
