Hayley Williams Leads Star-Studded Set at Newport Folk Festival

Hayley Williams performed on the Fort Stage of the Newport Folk Festival on July 24, presenting a show titled “Hayley Williams & Friends.” The set featured a roster of guest artists, including Karly Hartzman of Wednesday, Lucy Dacus, Kelsey Lu, Remi Wolf, and Jack Antonoff, among others. Together they opened with “Ego Death At a Bachelorette Party” and “Kill Me,” debuted new material such as Wolf’s unreleased “Twiggy Little Butt,” and performed live versions of tracks from Williams’s 2020 album Petals for Armor. The performance concluded with a group cover of Bill Withers’s “Lean On Me,” joined by all the guests and even a puppy. The appearance follows Williams’s recent European leg of her solo tour and precedes a forthcoming North and Latin American tour announced for September.
