Hayme Ana commemorated in Domaniç on 745th anniversary of death

Hayme Ana, the grandmother of Ottoman founder Osman Gazi and mother of Ertuğrul Gazi, was commemorated on the 745th anniversary of her death in Çarşamba village, located in the Domaniç district of Kütahya.

The Hayme Ana Commemoration and Migration Festival featured various cultural activities designed to preserve Turkish historical heritage and migration traditions for future generations. The event included performances by folk dance groups, Caucasian dance teams, the Mehteran band, and demonstrations of sword-and-shield and equestrian combat arts.

Local officials, including the Governor of Kütahya and various members of parliament, attended the ceremony. Participants were served traditional food, such as meat pilaf and ayran, as the festivities celebrated the historical significance of the figure known in Turkish history as ‘Devlet Ana’.
